The gate sits 7–9 km north of Tangwang county town and roughly 100 km north of Yichun's downtown — and since September 28, 2026, the Harbin–Yichun high-speed railway has collapsed the journey to China's forest capital.

By High-Speed Rail (new)
The Harbin–Yichun HSR — China's northernmost line — covers its 318 km at up to 250 km/h and brings Harbin to Yichun West in about 1 h 46 min. Shuttle links from Yichun West toward the scenic areas were planned for the opening — confirm locally, and allow for the final ~100 km north.
By Conventional Train
K-series day and overnight services from Harbin take 5–7.5 hours — a solid fallback when HSR tickets sell out.
By Air
Most visitors fly to Harbin Taiping (HRB) and continue by rail. Tiny Yichun Lindu Airport (LDS), 13.5 km from downtown, runs a few seasonal routes — check schedules.
By Car
Harbin–Yichun expressway, then the Yichun–Jiayin road north to Tangwang — about 1.5–2 hours from Yichun's center, with a large parking lot at the visitor center. The park also rides the G331 border-highway corridor, a Northeast road-trip staple.
By Bus
Coaches leave Yichun for Tangwang roughly hourly, 08:00–17:00; a taxi covers the last 7–9 km. Services thin out off-season.
Getting Around
Inside, shuttle buses link the gate with the six landscape zones and save the walk back; the 4–5-hour classic loop itself is done on foot along gentle boardwalks.
