Nanshan sits about 40 km west of Sanya city center on the southern coast - roughly a 50-60 minute drive. Tour buses, public buses and taxis all reach the gate.

Tourist bus
Sightseeing shuttle lines from downtown Sanya (Dadonghai / Jiefang Road stops) run to Nanshan in about 70 minutes; buy through hotel desks or online platforms.
Public bus
Bus 16 or 25 to Nanshan Scenic Area stop, or bus 55/57 to Nanshan Temple stop - cheapest option, allow 90 minutes.
High-speed rail
Hainan's East Ring line to Sanya Station (三亚站), then a westbound bus (16 or 25) or taxi on to the park - about 90 minutes by bus or 50 minutes by car from the city.
Taxi / ride-hailing
About 50 minutes and ¥100-120 each way from Sanya downtown; agree on the fare or use the app meter.
Self-drive
Free parking at the gate; the park lies just off the G98 ring expressway's Nanshan exit.
Getting Around
Inside the park, the electric shuttle cart along the coastal road is the main link between the gate, temple and Guanyin statue areas; walking the full axis takes about an hour each way.
