Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone

三亚市南山文化旅游区·Sanya, Hainan·South China

Nanshan rewards slow pacing. Most visitors ride the shuttle to the far end near the Guanyin statue first, then walk back through the temple, garden and gate complexes, finishing with the famous vegetarian buffet before the sea-view terraces at dusk.

Suggested Itinerary

  1. Enter via Non-Duality Gate
Arrive at opening to beat tour groups; the white gate and Bodhi courtyard are quietest now.
  2. Guanyin of the South Sea
Shuttle or stroll to the far cape; walk the causeway, circle the pedestal halls and the three-faced statue from below.
  3. Vegetarian buffet lunch
Monastery-style buffet near Nanshan Temple - arrive before noon rush for the best spread.
  4. Nanshan Temple & Golden Jade Guanyin
Terraced halls, drum and bell towers, then the jeweled Guanyin shrine.
  5. Longevity Valley stroll
Shaded boulder path and stupa forest before exiting through the sea-view gardens.
