Baiyun Mountain (Luoyang)

洛阳市白云山景区·LuoYang, Henan·Central China

The resort lies ~180 km (2.5–3 h) south of Luoyang in Song County; everyone transfers at the Tonghe visitor center at the foot and rides the shuttle up the 318-bend Sky Road. Set navigation to 'Checun Town, Tonghe Village' rather than 'Baiyun Mountain' to stay on the new road.

By Car

Luoyang → Luoluan Expressway → G311 south, ~180 km / 2.5–3 h; Zhengzhou ~3.5–4 h via the Zheng–Luan expressway. Driving up the mountain needs a ¥35-per-vehicle self-drive service fee (entry not included) plus an advance parking reservation (500 cars/day cap, parking ~¥10–15/day).

By Direct Coach

Luoyang Longmen Passenger Center and the stations by Luoyang railway station run buses commonly at ~07:00 & 13:30 (~¥40–45, 3–4 h); returns leave Tonghe ~08:00 & 13:00. Schedules are sparse and seasonal — confirm on 0379-66586666.

By High-Speed Rail

Luoyang Longmen Station on the Beijing–Guangzhou trunk links Beijing, Xi'an, Zhengzhou and Guangzhou; from the station it is still ~3 h by road — bus from the adjacent passenger center or a taxi/charter.

By Air

Luoyang Beijiao Airport takes domestic flights; most international visitors arrive via Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport, ~4–4.5 h away by road or HSR transfer.

From the Funiu Loop

Laojun Mountain (老君山) — a separate 5A in Luanchuan, distinct from Baiyun — lies ~1.5 h away by road; the two areas market direct inter-area transport for a three-day western-Henan circuit.

Getting Around

Inside, the mandatory ¥70 shuttle covers the 18-km climb plus unlimited flag-down sightseeing hops between zones (2-day valid); three cable cars shortcut the big climbs (Yuhuangding ¥60 up/¥100 return, Jiulong ¥70 up/¥100 return, Bailong ¥40 up/¥50 return, with the Bailong-down + Jiulong-up canyon combo at ¥100), a 300-m mountain slide opened near the Nine-Dragon area in Jan 2026, and the cliff attractions charge separately (Nine-Dragon Sky Bridge ¥40, glass cliff-walk ¥20).
