Visitor route map with recommended walking lines

By Metro

Line 1 to Tian'anmen East or West, then the Duan Gate passage to the Meridian Gate (Tue–Sun 08:00–16:00); Line 8 to Jinyu Hutong offers a calmer moat-side approach from the east.

By Bus

Routes 1, 2, 52, 82, 120, Night 1 and the sightseeing lines stop at Tian'anmen East/West; trolleybuses 101, 103, 109 and 124 serve the Shenwu Gate north exit.

By Air

Capital (PEK, 30 km) and Daxing (PKX, 46 km) airports link in by Airport Express trains; allow 60–90 minutes to reach the center.

By Train

High-speed services arrive at Beijing South, Beijing West and Qinghe stations, all a metro ride from Line 1.

By Car

The museum has no parking of its own; the small public lot at Jingshan Back Street fills early — public transport is the better choice.

Getting Around

Everything inside is on foot along the one-way south-to-north line; exit Shenwu Gate for Jingshan Park across the street, or Donghua Gate for Wangfujing 800 m away — Beihai and Nanluoguxiang pair naturally beyond.
